Nearly 60% of electricityh generated is lost due to outright theft, freebies to "farmers" and obsolete transmission infra. Worse, the State Elec. Bds are so corrupt, inept and incompetent, that less than 20% of dues are recovered...always operating at a huge, huge, huge loss.

True. 100%. Farmers are given free power to pump water. There are no meters installed to see how much free power is being given, so the theft goes unnoticed.
