Malls - Build on your strengths, dont cry!
by shashi kadapa on Oct 19, 2014 08:51 AM  | Hide replies

Mall owners/ brick and mortar stores, there is no point in complaining or protesting against technology. Build on your strength and core offerings. Here is what you can do:

Offer product trails to customers, if required, have demo products of mobile phones, rather than refusing to open sealed products.

Offer to resize the dresses for free, this includes reducing length, waist,, etc.

Have an online offering, where you showcase your products. People can view the items, order them, or pick them up at the store.

Rationalise your supply chains, and find ways in which you can sell cheaper by reducing costs.

Have courteous and well dressed salespeople, who are well informed and helpful

Its Worst to do Online Shopping......
by Parjanya Dixit on Oct 18, 2014 02:02 PM

I have a couple of bad experience with online shopping and i will not advise to do this. Window Shopping is always good as you can reach to them in case you have any problem where as in online shopping you will have to courier the product on your own expenses and then its not sure the new one which you will receive is a really a new one or the same old....

Online shopping is bullsheet thing....

Window shopping will give you some time with your family in todays busy life......

Its the same malls that made us customers go online
by Varun on Oct 16, 2014 01:08 AM  | Hide replies

The same malls and retail stores that looted Indian customers with their crooked discounts and offers today is a "crying baby"

Online is not far from it - it will too be a "screaming baby" now then be a "boring baby" and at last a "fast asleep baby" soon!

What crooked discount are u talking about.

They are marketing gimmicks and that is part and parcel of the trade

Also recently I ordered a headphone from Amazon and money pd via debit card. And it's been almost a month and still I don't have any news

But I would still prefer online because of easy and after being bitten once, payment only on COD

Let's not blame shop owners. They are doing their work, but " Change is only thing which is constant" and therefore it is only going to better for online players from now onwards

On line marketing
by Dhruba Sarma on Oct 15, 2014 02:57 PM

So retail stores are very fragile in India where they could not withstand competition from on - line sales . This is not the story in other countries . The mistake is selling only fixed brands and not brining in new items on the shelves .
