Indians with poor qualifications become university presidents in American universities these days. This is a typical case where several well qualified top Americans and top Indians are deliberately overlooked. These poor quality candidates are not of Nobel prize or Pullitzer prize caliber, and yet they will rise to the top by currying the favor of a few administrators under the pretext of having excellent connections for fund-raising. These candidates generally never advance the frontiers in their areas of specialty. The article is just a news piece with little significance in the present scenario.

your comment is absolutely foolish and un called for! I have met Renu Khator, she is a mavellous intelligent and high IQ individual. most of usare born in poor or middle class simple families... but the good ones among us with a little bit of support and luck eventually zoom off. Renu is one such example. Just to let u know, she was a special invitee to NAMO's Vibrant Gujarat in 2013.
