Financial sector needs many reforms!
by Grizzly on Nov 23, 2014 04:58 PM

But cutting red tape is one of the most important ones!

Decrease the burden on individuals and businessmen to make things easier.

Increase the budget of regulators and investigative agencies to catch anybody who tries to cheat people.

There are multiple examples of foreign countries and their success stories. Learn from them and implement the reforms to save time and money!

some illegal charges
by amit agarwal on Nov 17, 2014 10:24 PM  | Hide replies

SMS alerts charges, 2% charges collected by merchants when shopping is done using credit card and debit card, very high demand draft charges, levy of annual debit card fees, cheque bouncing charges on the customer depositing the cheque, exhorbitant interest on credit card outstanding, levy of penalty if credit card bill is paid by cash, no acknowledgement given when credit card bill paid by cheque. if cheque is lost by the bank then you have no proof to prove that you deposited cheque in time.

if you go to open Fixed deposit in any bank then first they will force you to open a savings a/c with them even if you don't need one. they straight away refuse if you don't open a savings a/c. if you open a zero balance account it has so many restrictions that you will feel its better to open a regular balance account as who is going to remember so many conditions.

PSU banks finding new tricks to deduct money
by amit agarwal on Nov 17, 2014 10:17 PM

have a/c with dena bank. bal required to be maintained Rs 1000. its monthly balance. it means at the end of the month when a/c is closed you should have Rs 1000 in your account. now all of the sudden they not only calculate monthly balance, but also quarterly balance. The way quarterly balance is calculated it means you cannot withdraw this Rs 1000 for even one day else you will end up paying penalty charges. When you complain no one bothers. they will reply when they will like. no deadline of reply in 48 hrs if followed as mentioned in their policy. branch managers talk as if you are a beggar. no apology. they think they are doing a favour on the customer.

first control nuisance of PSU banks
by amit agarwal on Nov 17, 2014 10:12 PM  | Hide replies

PSU banks have become notorious once again. they have starting cheating like private banks. poor service. arguing staff and unwilling to work. lazy branch managers, levy of charges as and when they like. its a very serious problem. for e.g. in banks these days machine is installed for collecting cash instead of a person collecting cash from customers. its so inconvenient for customers as most of them don't know how to use it. I've seen it in icici and central bank of india. they straight away refuse to collect cash and ask to deposit cash in account using machine. the attitude which they show you will feel like you've come to beg to him/her. stop levying charges for SMS alerts, debit card annual fees, charges for cheque book, demand drafts etc

this and he must to that is written daily. No body cares to ask waht was Congress doing for the last 10years? Before that 60yrs? He must clean India, change laws, improve defences, fight corruption and end poverty. The amusing thing is this is being orchestrated by Congress, their allies in politics and media! Yet these issues were never raised during Congress's rule. The mess made by sixty years of misrule cannot be done away in few years, it will take at least a decade.
