Sardar's Statute
by Uttam Palandurkar on Nov 23, 2014 03:24 PM

Why such big statute of 3000 crores. It can be of 100 crores In rest of the amount at least 5 medical colleges and hospitals can be installed which is immediate need of nation .I think even Sardar would have liked the idea of building his statute. I hope govt should rethink on this. In my opinion it is waste .

Modern India

Yes indeed a laudable effort by the current Government and they should look into the future. The pushes and pulls of opposing political parties notwithstanding India should put these on fast track. However the concept of bullet train does not fit into the present scheme of things. We should think of it only after we have put the essential infrastructural facilities in place. In my opinion that will take a few more decades. First on this list is clean Bharat. Can we disperse and relocate slums such as Dharavi? I know it is an unrealizable dream but can we work towards it. Hope this government attempts it in right earnest.

Tragedy
by Secular india on Nov 14, 2014 12:53 AM  | Hide replies

We must highlight the plight of farmers and villagers whose land has been looted by government against democratic principle to build these infrastructure which never benefit those from whom the land is looted. India is a fake democracy when it comes to looting the land of poor farmers.

Poor farmer of Vijayawada are going to be the next victimize of this loot business.

Your comment is stupid! You have to see the bigger picture and for that you need to have good imagination. Small scale agriculture will become very difficult in future as there won't be any profit in it. We need huge farm land and mechanized farming technique. Roads and other infrastructures are very important to make India a developed country and for that we need some sacrifice to be done. You don't want a small farmer to remain poor by toiling there for generations to come. We have to develop their skills for bigger things. Government is not looting. I hope Mr. Modi will go ahead with modernization of India at a faster pace.Let us all help to make India a developed nation.Jai Hind

Well done India! More needed!
by Grizzly on Nov 13, 2014 04:13 PM

While some good work has been done, much more needs to be done. India needs more motorways to connect the major cities as it not only increases connectivity for people but also for goods and trade.

India also needs much more energy generation. When we talk about innovation and jobs creation, the basis of everything is energy! How can a village man or woman create a concept when they have dont have electricity to work? No computers, no connectivity!

Or basic facilities like water and roads? As we give people more basic facilities, people spend less time on trying to survive and have more time to realize their true potential! If girls in the villages are spending hours of their days going to get water from kms away and boys maybe spending the same time gathering wood for making food, how do you expect them to think of innovation and contribute to the society?
