For a long time, Mr Russi Mody was the perfect example of a Corporate Chief, who was admired by thousands of his workers. Long before Jack Welch came to be regarded as the icon for the corporate world, Russi Mody had already distinguished himself. In fact, when in 1977, the then Janata party government considered nationalizing Tata Steel, the workers across all their plants and offices petitioned against a such move by the government. It was a pity that his departure from the Tata Group was not as glorious.
