No comparison with Ferrari
by PRADYUMNA PANDEY on Jul 16, 2014 11:56 PM

Ferrari's come with over 600 HP now. Have 6-10 cylinders, are loaded with safety technologies, not just ABS, but ESP, Torque vectoring,Carbon disc brakes, traction control, etc. They have adaptive dampers, rear airfoils to add down thrust at high speeds for braking, go from 0 to 100 in less than 3 seconds and top speeds of around 350 km/hr. Ferrari still maintains superb control even at high speeds.
This DC car could be dangerous for a novice even with 250 HP if not provided with all the safety devices that are generally found on the legendary Supercars like Ferrari

os road safety tests...completed / undergoing

at such power claimed very stringent road safety tests are needed otherwise the car will become coffin for buyer

rs 100 crore for car manufacturing ...car manufacturing costs are really high and require mucgh more investment...if dc has indeed managed to create a manufacturing unit in 100 crore its an achievement no less

While Ferrari produces car which is atleast 600bhp , dis DC will b around 300bhp with Ford engine. Even VW Mini has more performance.
B wise in news. Agreed the luks r stunning, but quality n performance also makes a car "SUPERCAR"

This is India's first steps towards producing sports cars, and fabulous looking cars. Well done DC and wish you go all the way to the top globally! I really wish the car lives up to the expectation and delivers. Good luck :)

Ignorants

You can't rival a Ferarri by making a car which only LOOKS like a Ferrari. If you take a 10 lakh car, build a beautiful looking body for another 20 lakhs and say it rivals a Ferrari, then I am sorry, the people at Rediff are plain ignorant.

A Ferrari is a Ferrari because of its engine, acceleration, top speed, chassis, gear box (gear shift time is less than 100 milli seconds), brakes, suspension etc. Not just because of the body. That is why you pay a huge amount for those supercars.

Agreed!!! However a car which is one tenth the price of a ferrari and is way cheaper than the mercedes C class with such a body is worth considering!!!

In no ways u can compare it with a ferrari since the price factor is enormous!!!

But saying that what a product mr.DC is offering!!!
