A trader in APMC market was saying the other day, that an item come to APMC market after 4 stages of agents/brokers leading to 16% brokerages. Imagine then why there won't be price rise. The arguments of the promoters of APMC is that these brokers/agents numbering thousands perhaps lakhs also get employed and survive, or govt may get few crores as taxes, no matter 125 crores Indians may suffer at the hands to these bad elements.
