AUGUSTINE DIAS
Corporate czars not required
by AUGUSTINE DIAS on Jan 20, 2014 04:03 PM

Every corporate czar now wants to join AAP to settle their personal scores or to meet their personal goals, they should realise that AAP is not the rightplace for them, They must first study the ideology on which AAP has been formed, They should join AAP only if prepared to sacrifice their corporate & personal goals & serve the people, these czars will cause great damage to the cause & will bring bad name to AAP

Patel is a r@scul
by prem k on Jan 20, 2014 03:43 PM

Even kings and monarchies would hesitate to do it, but Patel managed to do it in a democracy. Our so-called free media did not even squirm. His daughter was getting married in Rajastan in 2005 and he ensured that all flights to Jodhpur airport were cancelled. The entire airport has transformed into a private air space and landing strip for 2-3 days to welcome the baaratis, and the family and friends of the minister. Our media enjoyed the lavish spread of food and wine at the marriage and failed to perform its duty of letting our citizens and the world know about how our elected representatives misuse public property for their own benefit.

The only media house which described this event was aajtak, but not in a contemptuous manner that it deserves, but as a tabloid reporting the lavishness of a private wedding. No RTI activist, no AAP activist and not even Patel's opponents either within his own party or in the opposition BJP saw anything wrong in the whole affair. It only goes on to show that they are all together in looting the public.

You are being opportunistic in asking this and trying to defend a scoundrel like Patel. To put this in perspective, why do you avail of the leave travel allowance offered by your employer when millions of people dont even have money to cross their village? Alternatively why do you eat lavish food at the friend's wedding reception when millions of people go to bed hungry. It is not morally wrong to take what is offered or promised by an employer in your employment contract. If free travel is offered in the employment contract of AI staff, how can you blame its employee of availing it? If you have a problem with this clause in the employment contract, you should make it an election issue and vote the political party that promises cost shaving of public limited companies.

Another Scam - in UPA's tenor
by Bharat on Jan 20, 2014 02:20 PM

It the book was published - I am sure this (AI going down) would have become another Scam for UPA II. Scams afer scams - and still the Shehzada thinks that his party is a group of honest people. Shame on Congress and its UPA allies. 2014 LokSabha elections will tell it all.

People like him should be associated with management of government enterprises. Presuming them to be free from corruption, their expertise can be used as watchdogs against gross mismanagement. They should also be supported by eminent lawyers as powerful politicians know how to deal with this class of people. I think time is round the corner for the corrupt to get punished.
