Instead of conveniently accusing people to lack intelligence, why not explain as to why we shd pay international price for our resource? Do gulf citizens pay same price as the ppl belonging to countries who buy from them? And why not the pricing mechanism be explained and give the exact cost of "refining" instead of simply saying govt is paying "huge subsidies"? And why did the govt allow the Reliance to breach the contractual obligations?

Invisible public money lost on petrol/diesel pumps.
by Harkishan Haswani on Feb 11, 2014 02:57 PM  | Hide replies

Respected Shri Veerappa Moily Sir,
Since you yourself do not go to fuel stations, may be you are not aware that against every fill of Rs. 100/- minimum 20-30 paise loss is passed on by fuel stations to the public (because meters mounted and the rates applicable does not match to the last drop of fuel filled). This way hundreds of crores of rupees of public are lost every year - may I request you to kindly look into it personally please.
With regards,

Moily is on record saying India was floating on gas and oil to justify doubling of price. No such benefit is reaching Indian public. Further to justify their decision Rangrajan commission's recommendation was added. Now Moily and Rangrajan are floating on money. As for Modi, Ambani has construction special swimming pool of money. Nowadays Modi is using this pool for full house public meetings all over the country.
