i request you to give order for cancelling the current door system in trains. this is completely wrong, i would say some brainless people designed it. recently many people died due to wrong door system, at least for new trains and wagons doors must be changed. according to my study in all trains door should follow what is in metro trains. this is good for all including physically handicapped. i know you are quick decision maker that is why telling to you. thanks sir.

railway fares
by rajan melekalathil on Dec 18, 2014 07:36 PM

Railways can reduce some amount in the fares if not fully according to reduction in cost of fuels. Railway is using electricity to run several trains .they may claim that only a portion of the cost of fuel is reduced. But the commonman definitely deserve some consideration which they may provide in the next budget-hopefully

Fare should increase in input cost
by SundaraRajan K on Dec 18, 2014 07:13 PM

If there is an expectation that fare should be reduced due to fall in oil prices, then fare should also increase in input cost. But whenever Railway tries to increase fare to meet the cost and provide better service, there is a hue and cry from every corner

These public utility services were never intended to run with profit motive, but the bug called privatization and the nexus with the wealthy class as created by Chidambaram and very ably continued by Jaitley who did tall talks before the elections said much on transparency on subsidy and tax elements in the fuel prices and direct benefit and Adhaar game in LPG and now has taken U turn. Similarly Railways increased the fare on account of diesel price hikes, now again they are ready to increase the fare ....nothing has changed, the messiah of 125 cr is giving thyem bitter pills and rose syrup to the rich and wealthy like Ambanies.

Stop crying over everything..Even if you buy a 3 lakh caer, you need atleast 15,000 Rs/year for maintenace..Railways with its ageing assets needs a lot of resources to maintain it properly or else even the existing quality of services cannot be maintained. Railways is already burdened with close to 2 million workforce who need to be given increases in pay like increments , DA etc but railways cannot raise the fare ..what an irony.. Even a nominal 5% increase would also ruffle the jobless commies and looting( in the name of welfare)parties. The operating ratio is 94% then where is the resource for renovation leave alone expansion of network.. think logically and then post your thoughts.

He is following Chidambaram, who was main cause of congress defall. Jaitley will let down Modi.
Tax payers whose backbone is broken by Chid, needs relief. People cannot be befooled of the mis-deeds of Govt. policies i.e. only poor, poor and poor, this we are listening from the last 65 years.

Yes u r right...Chidambaram was the architect of the fall of UPA reason being anti masses policy , and his fatal love for filling the coffers of the rich and mighty. Jaitley is following his foot steps, he and the railways ministers are taking people for granted and thus it will make him architect of fall of Modi and people's faith in him.
