our judicial system needs to be fixed
by sobby kurian on Dec 09, 2014 11:02 AM

only 6 months -- after 5 years..Ex Railway Minister killing after 40 years.. the reason why so many horrendous things happen in India because law takes too long, and one can get away with practically anything. Rajat Gupta would have got 1 day jail if he was in India.. We need a revolution when it comes to the judiciary and investigation. Our forensic abilities need to be beefed up and justice needs to be swift and proportionate to the crime. And strangely the media is not even taking up this case..

Indian court after all evidence and after taking all judicial enquery, Justice is give as per current rules.

He is better than many living beings in India. He has done more than enough social service and Jobs provisions to society than the offence he has done. some investors might have got impacted by him and its not a BANK . Its shares which is not primary savings of public..its greedy gambling savings. so not a unanticipated impacted to investors.

Court has given its justice.
its scam of private money.
there are much more bigger things done with Public money by many corrupt people. Need strict laws .

Your post shows a lack of your understanding.

So you want all general public to stay away from shares, thinking it is gamble? They are not entitled ever to be owners of any enterprise, even partially? General public are meant to serve only, is that what you say?

If people come forward and invest in a company and their account books are manipulated, it is a punishable offence anywhere in the world. get your act together and stop exposing your stupidity.

Ramarao, what he said is correct. Law is really blind. Tell me which politician or government official has been punished and his illegally amassed wealth has been seized in the past 60 years. Law is really blind. lower court gives punishment, for the same case higher court reject the case. All the things are done on the same evidences and arguments. But why is the difference. perception should be same else People will loose faith in the total system

Oh really, inflate balances in his company accounts and thus cheating gullible investors of their hard earned money can be over looked because he has "helped" a few people. With people like you around, no doubt this country is becoming a banana republic. By the way how much crumbs did he throw at you ?

This is failure to democracy..encouragement to cheating/forgery... Raju's family is celebrating....10,000 crores of forgery and 10 lakhs in fine and 6 months jail... This should be the best business.

Media irrespective of their ownership or alignment to their policy, should not delete a message which is not vulgar or indecent. Moderation should mean moderation alone not censorship.

Raju will not be able to invest his money over his entire life. The courts will not allow him to re-enter the financial world.

Great Justice by Indian judiciary. What is 10 Cr
penalty compared to 10,000 Cr or so and what is 6 mths imprisonment? It pinches only those with some integrity and self respect but not such people. Why CBI or Judiciary could not give him punishment, commensurate with the money he had swindled and ruined the careers of 1000s of young aspirants. This only indicates that even judiciary is not above normal human tendencies.
