This should not be made into a sensational news. Any knowledgeable person who understands the basics of economy knew that such things will continue to happen in spite of the pre-election bluffs of Modi and his vociferous supporters. I personally had a lot of hope that Modi will have the guts and vision to make radical changes in our economic policies. But the last budget was nothing but a poor copy of Congress budget. This means that our economy will continue to be in the doldrums for quite a long period till we get a finance minister of Man Mohon Singh's caliber and a PM of Narsimha Rao's caliber.

It took 60 plus years to remove the congress-giri in India - do you expect miracles to happen within 6 months post removal?
It will take at least 2 to 3 years to repair the damages and then start afresh
Be happy it's not touching 65 or more that happened just in the previous year

@Sankar, you so early forgot ur dear Manmohan was PM (more powerful than FM)..so dont give excuse for Manmohan calibber. we saw his caliber in last 10 yr so that rupee went from 38 to 68 and destroyed indian strength.(Ofcoure this helped 2 sector like IT and Export base) but added big hurdle of inflation to indian ppl for ever. All manmohanomics was result of pressure from US and Worldbank, google Natwarlal. (Natwarlan can be lying few things but he can not lie 100% as he was there for almost 30-40yr with govt authorities). Let Modiji settle and check things, give him atleast 3 yr. 1991 is one odd event as we had no option with conditions set by Worldbank.
