Ambani empire pumps 0.5% of our GDP.They take maximum mileage out of Govt policies. They also give world class plants with world's Best technologies. They are one who created 12/15 hour work culture in India besides being first to give salary in multiple of what you get.I am not an ardent fan of Ambanis but Hindustan needs work culture enthused by Ambnis & not making people become lethargic as they get 100 days for sitting at home.

The well head price of natural gas
by piri on Sep 23, 2013 09:41 PM  | Hide replies

is not more than USD 4 per MMBTU anywhere in the world. This is recorded by the CAG in its observations about the KG D6 block and the pricing formula decided for gas from the RIL operated well.

Moreover, the CAG also made very critical remarks about RIL's failure to carry out its contractual obligations in the production of gas from the field.

RIL named technical issues as the reason for not producing even a fourth of the contracted quantum of gas. However, when the CAG directed it to agree to an audit to find out what these 'technical issues' are, RIL stonewalled the suggestion and adopted one delaying tactic after another. Since such an audit is provided for in the agreement, RIL could not blatantly refuse it. As long as Mr. Jaipal Reddy was the petroleum minister, RIL was kept on a tight leash as regards the guaranteed production target from the KG block. However, RIL prevailed on the Congress bosses to remove Mr.Reddy and install the ever pliant Moily in his place. Ever since, RIL has gone blatant with its whimsical production patterns from the KG block and made its refusal to step up production arrogantly clear to everyone.

It was at this stage that the Congress led UPA made its second big move to further increase the quantum of loot in the hands of Mukesh Ambani. It formed a 'kitchen committee' (on the lines of the 'kitchen cabinet' made famous by Indira Gandhi) with their stooge Mr.Rangarajan (former RBI governor) as head to 'study' RIL's demand

for increase in the price of the KG gas from 4.2 USD to 14 USD per MMBTU!

Now, as mentioned earlier, no well in the world earns more than 4 USD per MMBTU at the well head for its gas. In the KG block case, the cost of liquefaction, transport and re-gasification at the user's end are all borne by others - namely Petronet LNG, GAIL and users. The Congress bosses had a simple brief for Mr. Rangarajan's committee - "Lie if you must, cheat if you must, fudge figures if you must, obfuscate issues if you must, do anything that you feel necessary...but increase the price of RIL gas to at least 8 USD per MMBTU with effect from April, 2014."!!

With general elections round the corner, the only concern the Congress perhaps had was the need to fund their election campaign.

And true to form, Rangarajan's team announced with as grave and solemn a mien and as verbose and convoluted a pricing formula as any that has been devised anywhere anytime, that the price of the KG gas would be 8 USD from April 2014!!

This gigantic twin strike at the Indian commoners' stakes in 'developing' India perhaps puts to the shade every other scam that has been unearthed in independent India. It perhaps dwarfs the coalgate and the 2G scams ten to one in magnitude if the potential size of the coming loot is taken into account.

The culpability of the Congress party is thus fully established in this great game.

But what beats everything else is not the monstrous size of the theft being committed by Ambani or the Congress party, but the laboured silence observed by the main opposition party, the BJP in this matter!!!

Why, given the lengths to which the BJP went to disrupt parliament to allegedly bring the culprits in the 2G and the coalgate scams to book, one would have thought that it would be doubly anxious to repeat the act in the emerging 'gas scam' given the much bigger proportions it increasingly promises to reveal.

Why then is the BJP observing pin-drop silence in this matter ? True, the BJP let out a few barely audible grunts of feigned opposition to Rangarajan's formula when the CPI's Gurudas Gupta looked set to succeed in bringing the matter into wider focus but then relapsed quickly into silence when Mr. Gupta secured a promise from the cabinet that the formula would be 'revisited'.

Why is every party other than the left bloc silent in this matter?

All the big time thieves (Ambanis, Mittals, Adanis and numerous others) have been grinning wider and wider every passing year of the much hyped 'economic reforms'. All the big time thieves have been having it better and better every passing year of 'structural reforms', 'liberalisation', 'privatisation'.......!

All the big time thieves regard the Congress and the BJP as two arms of the same device that exists solely for their aggrandisement!

Mukesh Ambani has bought all the politicians in one broad sweep cutting across all the barriers;but the bulk of the dumb Indian Population would not understand it.Hence he is making merry fooling around the Indian Public.

Ambani's grin has certainly
by piri on Sep 23, 2013 09:38 PM

widened over the past few years!

Whether it is the Congress or the BJP, Ambani has long since realised that he can easily get them to act as his point men in government!

And in return, he only has to throw a small part of his loot at them in the form of election funding!

There is simple diffrence between Modi and Congress
by Hiten patel on Sep 23, 2013 09:21 PM  | Hide replies

Congress says they will help poor. From their actions it looks they want to achieve this is by giving benefits (e.g. food bills). Well those bills have to be funded by Tax payers and will increase the burden on Tax payers. People who are paying tax will get frustrated due to extra burden on them. At some point they won’t be capable to carry this burden and seek for alternatives (applying for free food under food bill). And one day there will be more people taking benefits against less people paying for those benefits. This will turn our country into likes of Somalia, Zimbabwe with all lazy lads.
At least from modi's action it’s clear that he is not in the mood of putting any burden on the common man. At least his action are creating fair amount of jobs and motivate people to work rather to seat on their** doing nothing and waiting for free bees.

True.

But the Congress is no better in this, is it?

The Congress as well as the BJP are two arms of the same miserable machine employed by the big time thieves of the country, aren't they?

And common middle class dunces debate and rage with each other fiercely advocating or denouncing one or the other of these two parties!

Ok even if we go with your thinking that 30k will go to TATA. Still no. of direct and indirect jobs are created due to the investments. On the the other hand congress will ensure that same no. of lazy lads are generated. Be practical any bussiness man will look for maximum profits only and we can't do anything about it. Its just not india who has got likes of ambani's and tata in every country you will find this people. If you don't allow them to invest than how the wheels of economy will drive. Congress policies are acting as a rod across the economical wheel. each and everything things get opposed and utlimatley it slows down the traing of growth. I agree that whereever there is a investment there will a corruption and politicial will benefit their share from it. Though at least BJP wants to move that wheel unlike congress with the worst bill intoduce in the history. You might not be aware of it but at present also there are some benifits for below povery level people to get free food. but that food is just wasted (estimated 44000 crore is wasted every year). At leasst modi has invsted equal amount of money Narmada Dam, Soloar Powers, Public transport etc. I am not sure if you are aware of this or not but its because of Narmada dam people who are leavinf in desert are now getting water. Have you ever wonderd even after having bad moonsoon every year gujrat people still enjoys enough water and 24 hour electircity.
