whose brainwave

obviously this is Chidambaram's brainwave to still collect more and more taxes from the already taxed-to-death public

Didn't he say some time back, if they can afford to drink bottled water then they can afford to pay more taxes???

so go on wasting public funds on MPs, useless ministries like your own, bloated bureaucracy, vote banks etc etc as you can always tap us for some more taxes

Rangarajan Should be jailed for crony capitalism
by Rajesh Chheda on Sep 14, 2013 04:15 PM  | Hide replies

It is clear that Rangarajan recommends giving undue favours to RIL and other private players inspite of them not even fulfilling basic supply commitments and imposing untold financial burden and misery to the economy. As far as fuel price hike is concerned, reducing leakages will compensate govt deficit more than price hikes.
Allowing price hikes as per market rates which actually having no co-relation to cost of production and supply commitment is nothing but crass criminality which is snatching away food from plates of people.
Punish Rangarajan, Manmohan, Moily Reddy and their corporate cronies RIL, Cairn and govt controlled oil companies.

This guy is an enemy of the state. Why does he not speak about lakhs of crores of scams, food bill, mnregrs, etc? We are actually creating fools and non-workers by announcing such nonsense. It is another matter that nothing ever reaches the deserving in India; Vote bank politics to the core; Congress knows that the average Indian will never complain about fuel price rise: protest on paper or HTML is junk

First Collect the Tax Properly

Instead of doing what is the need of the hour, these guys are resorting to the easiest way to balance fiscal deficit

Income Tax and Commercial Tax should cover at least 70-80% of the deficit which no one is bothered to pay

Sales Tax and VAT are only a burden to the end user and it may not help in any way to run the economy (hope I am right here, to some extent)
