The drug controlling in India is in a pathetic state. There is no way to know the purity of the drug for the doctor too. All the companies are party to the same kind of horrid Ranbaxy practices, only the others have not been caught yet. The entire drug production, quality control and the government regulatory systems are extremely incompetent and corrupt. If the government wishes, assuring quality drugs would a matter of months.
