I received 2 Aadhar Cards
by Vidyarthi Mallam on Mar 06, 2013 10:37 AM

I received 2 Aadhar cards after registering in April, 2011. One is in B&W and the other in color. But, both cards have the same number which is a relief. Many people who registered at the same time haven't received even one card till now.

Aadhar - Know the trueth
by Binod Krishna on Mar 06, 2013 10:20 AM  | Hide replies

I and my wife tried 3 days to get the opportunity to sit on hot seat for making Aadhar card at one of the centre at Ranchi, Jharkhand. It was 7th Oct'2011. Our photo, finger prints and biometric were taken successfully and got acknowledgement. 2 years have passed and I have not received our cards. I wrote several mails to Help line and respective Officers of Head office Bengalore as well as Jharkhand. Nobody even bothers to reply. I want to know what is now to be done if we are not receiving our Aadhar card. Can any of you authentically tell me?
Binod Krishna

Your situation gives us relief. My wife and I with a host of neighbors went through the drill about an year back - so OK, we wait. I am a senior citizen. Hopefully would see this card in my life time.

Illegal Bangladeshis get it first
by jai bharat on Mar 06, 2013 09:43 AM  | Hide replies

The addhar centers have been put up on the borders areas of of Assam and Bengal.
So that the illegal immigrants coming in are immediately given citizen status ..

Only 20% of the rest of the country has been covered as Govt is in no hurry to complete this scheme

Cool down man. What difference does it make? Previously people used to get ration cards, now adhaar cards. Ultimately the so-called i11egal immigrants do petty jobs and make a living. They are helping us by doing the kind of jobs which others don't like to do. The situation is same in US, with many i11egal immigrants from Mexico and other countries. Authorities know it, but allow them so that petty jobs could be done in USA, at a much lesser cost.

i have applied for Aadhar on 30th nov 2012 and the acknoledgement copy shows all fingerprints etc fine but when visited Aadhar office at Bangalore,i was told that the machine at Aadhar main office may not recognize your finger prints, hence if you do not get till Feb 2013 end, come to our office and have it again. Its good for indian leaders where they need not stand in Q secondly how come machine could not recognize when printout show good, secondly people handling customer complaint do not bother to reply, shows that it works just like UPA govt.My suggestion is do not link any payment mode to Aadhar till the system is 100% ok

Wastage if money..
by Discusion Forum on Mar 06, 2013 09:00 AM

Looking at the present state of delay, if age old people are applied for Aadhar, it will not get them before their death. Why both Voters Id Card and Aadhar are required? Is govt. using it one of the avenue for corruption? How much money is being spent for both these cards.

Pay bribe.
by Arindam Das on Mar 06, 2013 08:54 AM  | Hide replies

This is like another tools for the agents to make some money. Remember, if you want to take DL you has to pay bribe now its the same again for the ADHAR card too. You pay bribe you will get the appointment date early.

Don't pay bribe. Don't spoil reputation of this country. Bribe giver is as bad as bribe taker. You must understand that UID project is not conceived as a tool for agents to make money, it has other intentions as mentiond in the article.

UIDAI is only an identity number and not a proof of being Indian Citizen. Voter Id is better than this.

Data like finger print and eye-scan is useful only if you have enabled devices at the point of checking - and not only at the point of collection of data!! That would mean another round of expenses on getting these enabled devices across the country - which at this point seem too bleak.

aadhaar
by Sridhar Rao on Mar 06, 2013 08:34 AM

It is very difficult to get it , there is always along long Q every day ,one has to stand in Q at 0600 to enroll it.There are so many organisation which maintain registers of employees , of members.UIDIA can get information regarding individual from passpors , from banks , from PSUs / factories etc that will reduce burden on UIDIA .there is bangalore one , ration shops every where .they should allowed too

I doubt this agency is serious.
I enrolled in 2011-first Dec.at New Delhi and have an acknowledgement.
The website congratulates for having completed issue and says you will receive.
The status is same for 6 months.
When I sent an e-mail about relocation they said leave a letter with the Post Master about new address and go.
It is 8 months since I moved.
No luck.Status is same.
Probably they work only for the poor.

Perhaps because of the magnitude of the number of people applying. My wife and I had applied for the card mid september, 2012 and we received them in January and february, 2013 respectively.
