Better say it soothes the nerves of greedy oil PSUs and gas producing companies like RIl...instead of having a hardened attitude and an investigation into the so called rising costs and a lesson to practice austerity the Congress government is bent to soothe the nerves of these big companies who have risen from a level of 25000 crores approx to 7-8 lakh crores while constantly crying for such things ..why isnot the callous govt. trying to soothe the nerves of the masses which are being killed due to inflation rising with slightest cues...
it has been estimated that while the addition to the kitty of centre is around 7 billion forevery one dollar rise in gas price; contrarily subsidy loss on fertiliser is app 31 bn and for poer app 100 bn. this is going to push up prices. whose interests are being watched?
