Infosys will have a newfangled trajectory of Strategic initiatives and solutions from now on with NRN's second bite at the cherry he nurtured and grew to be the bellwether of IT.
It is easy for any one to make the CEO or other top execs squarely culpable for the order that Infosys finds itself in now; but it will be a big mistake to do that.
Every one shall accept that the Board of Directors (Exec/Non Exec included) have the greatest responsibility for the sweet spot or dire straits any corporation finds itself in. This is the salient truth.
What NRN can do and SET an EXCELLENT PRECEDENT and a GUIDEPOST for Corporations in general during his command this time:
- Make Board meetings open to Public at least after a specified period. Stockholders should have the right at least. - Serving on Board of Directors should be made a highly transparent privilege with huge responsibility; - Directors on Board should own fiduciary responsibilities and made culpable for any wrongdoings they allow during the period; - Directors' compensation should not be an EASY one and it should be EARNED without any special protection; - Board should accept the responsibility for all Business Strategies; Issues and Solutions without a "tick on a Horse".
