Kolkata is a dangerously polluted metropolis of the East. Quite naturally, Trams should be preferred by every nature-loving citizen. Trams, on their part should improve their tracks and infrastructure to beat all other known means of transport. They need to speed up and move on dedicated corridors/elevated structures like Metro in Delhi. Only then can Calcutta Tramways become a pride of Kolkata.
a very omfortable journey in kolkata is in trams - one gets a panoramic view of the city of kolkata from esplanade terminus to tollygunj terminus - really a nice venture to start - air conditioned trams - all the best

a very comfortable journey in kolkata is in trams - will be best with tourists and residents particularly senior citizens and children alike taking tram ride in the day time of summer holidays - number of air conditioned trams has to be increased to say five to ten or more - opinions differ
Players apologise on-field for the mess they create, and our Congress leaders never even apologize for their major mistakes and always run away from the situation. Choose a leader who stands still in every situation, support and follow Sh. Narendra Modi @narendramodi with #NaMo4PM

modi will never apologize for 2002 like congress will never apologize for 1983. so vote mamata didi for secure and secular india jai mamata didi.
A welcome decision. We can learn from berlin and washington bus no 100 in which one can get in from any stop and proceed to the next tourist destination.A flat ticket for day will be welcome and the sultry climate does not tire tourists. The welcome step will have to be marketed th hotels in the route for maximisation. Min of 24 is a not good option...driver and guide should be one with microphone. more visibility from bus is desirable.

Please do not remove tram ways. They are iconic of old and graceful Calcutta. Improve them with more AC trams but don't remove them. I used to live and travel into Calcutta in the 80 and 90s. I liked the city very much, despite the problems people used to whine and lament about.
