Benefit for HUMANITY
by Syed Rizvi on Jan 30, 2013 12:59 PM  | Hide replies

in response to a query raised by Mr Rathore Sigh -----
HUMANITY benefits by having the SUPER RICH to buy these TOYS which finally the economical class & even the lower middle class will be making for them & earning in return for their LIVELIHOOD ....... money goes round & round ......
Optimism leads to good & healthy results rather than remaining pessimistic always .....

Adding to Mr. Rizvi's comment apart from the benifit listed by him there is another benefit "Innovation". The super rich fund the development of such products which require lots of innovation and improvement. Over a period of time these innovation trickle down to the masses and generally improving the life. Just as an example some 100 yrs back owning a car itself was considered an ultimate luxury just like owning private jets today. If somebody had said the same thing then and nobody was there to purchase the cars thus feeding the industry we would not have cars around us today as a means of transport for common man.

In general you pick any product and it has the same lifecycle, toy for ultra rich at some point and then trickle down for the common man. I hope you get the point.

Dear Sir, I understand that ... but what i dont understand is why people overlook the fact that when luxury becomes common, it strains the environment and will destroy humanity in the long run when nature replies in her way. Is that progress ? It defeats the very purpose which it attempts to solve. Look at Beijing.

the chain is long .. middle class guys help in making these TOYS or PALACES (luxury apartments) & the RICH shed their money ,, after earning his/her due (salary), the middle class guys buy other product's from classes lower than their's .. then that poor guys get to earn his/her due .. they will fed their kids ..
as for NATURE, somethings have to be surely given to gain something big ,, slowly & steadily changes happen for better .. we ought to be progressing .. & after all these steps we r coming on to t solar energies ,, looks beneficial now but who knows might have adverse efftecs which we will come to know later ,, but till then something better than this might also come up .. EARTH has got innumerable resources still not explored ..

yes, metro rail is very comfortable in many western countries. now they have double decker metro trains with ac. its like sitting in a plane. and the rail network covers almost all city areas .its really very convenient.also this takes off pressure of traffic on roads. definitely something india should copy!

We always justify our desires as good... Bad is only if causes harm to human not animals or ecosystem...

we think we have a self-sustaining planet...and it will provide us forever..

Individual transformation is the key to social transformation....

Now let us begin by switching off some unused equipment in your office (aka light, monitors)..

thanks for reading...
