Such article by rediff is regressive and petty
by Krishna on Jan 20, 2013 10:25 AM

Both Bengal and Gujarat are parts of India, and it is desirable that both the states make equal progress. My 1st Sem management training was "I-win-you-win" is more desirable than "I-win-you-lose".

I am not a fan of Mamta but it is very wrong to make such personal attacks. If you are so handsome then you should not hide your face behind Arnold. Remember what happened to president's son?

Industries appropriate for W. Bengal
by Zane Grey on Jan 17, 2013 05:00 PM  | Hide replies

First, very few Bengalis have businesses, they prefer a safe job, even if it is low paid. As a result all the resources, real estate and businesses have gone to the Marwaris. This is a major reason behind current poverty and hopelessness in W Bengal. To revive the state it is imperative that Energetic and persistent Bengalis must be selected, trained and supported to launch their businesses.

Bengal is no longer a leader, these people must believe in putting Bengal as No. 1

As to the businesses and industries appropriate for Bengal, they must be realistic and start small.

West bengal was always a leader in strikes, laziness, regressive thought process. Nobody else can match that.... Not even SOMALIA.

Did anybody teach the people from other states how to do business? These things are not taught, people just take some guts and do it. You can learn some of the tools and finance instruments etc from any MBA college, but if you do an MBA and dont start a business, then what can anyone do?

when didi was in opposition she shunned industrialists like the great ratan tata. Now she is begging for attention from the same industry.

It’s quite all right that you agree with the article that Bengal Leads is a damp squib. It’s quite all right that the present Government is failing in terms of industrialization & job creation. But you should not abuse Bengalis like the way you have done. Probably you have not been to Bengal ever that is why you could comment ‘they just grab everything and spoil...100% jobs in Bengal go their people only’. If you really happen to visit Bengal someday you will find that it is a true metropolis for time immemorial. We are as Indians as you if not more. We along with Punjabis have shed more blood for Independence than probably anybody else. Bengalis do hold some of the top most posts world-wide & it could happen because of their hard work & not through passing their time. Even our President is a Bengali. You personally may not like Bengalis for certain reasons best known but please desist from making such blanket statement. I also tell Rediff to stop publishing such unwarranted comments.

Please don't talk about history. What is Bengal TODAY ?? The only state in the country to register a negative industrial growth !! Whether under commies or TMC ?? I am ashamed of being a bengali when I see the state of affairs in POSCHIM BONGO......Bengalis are tigers in their own state (not wanting to work) but a mouse outside (doing whatever they are told to do.)
