we need good laptop in 15000/-. just few years back netbooks were available at less than ten thousand. but quality netbooks start at around 13 to 14 thousand rupees and then go up. since there is no alternative people are forced to carry this bulky phone. one wespro netbook is available at 8000 but it lacks some basic features like connecting to printer or mobile device, outdated OS etc.
larger screen - equates to be a better user experience. no one wants to squint into tiny screens and tiny fonts. most businessmen in the late forties can easily afford a large phone, and they'd appreciate a larger font, screen etc. kids love larger screens for gaming. so it's not impractical to have larger screen.

No. All of those current galaxy note buyers paid like 30-40k. what are you smoking ? most people I know having a note have multiple devices, including a second phone and a tablet.
