Good move to cash on the blind faith. I am sure there are people who think their time will be good if they have this watch.

Some people collect stamps, some coins, some watches and some people pay millions for obscure paintings. so what is wrong in someone paying 27 lacs , if he can afford, to buy something which pleases him.

To recover this 27 lacs, the person will resort to unfair practices (corruption). This is the cause of concern which you do not seem to foresee. Moreover, all the things that you mentioned are bought from black money. No one spends hard earned money like this.

One needs a golden heart and not a golden watch to express devotion. It is like trying to pour a glass of water in ocean. Just an exhibition of wealth :)
