more train line network is answer to city problems.

Fossil fuels Pollution,
by Sheetal Kaur on May 08, 2014 07:22 PM  | Hide replies

and how is electric clean.
Three methods to produce electric use fossil fuel Coal, Gas and Oil. One uses Nuclear and one uses hydro power.
Yes there is Solar and Wind which is not as efficient a power source as others.
If electric vehicle run clean then the pollution is become central in one place that is generating station.
Only Hydro power is clean but that also produce some pollution, There are by products of Hydro power as a well which pollute the atmosphere, but is may be 3-5% compared to others.
hydro is cleanest but where are the resources to build hydro power stations to feed the growing hunger of the whole country.
There was a time when only a light bulb was the only gadget that used electric, but now every day a new gadget is produced which is more power hungry then the last one.
transport may change but there are millions of other things those require electric and can not be changed, not over night.
pollution may be reduced by careful use of power, but can not be completely eliminated, Not for now any way.
What future holds we don't know. Who knows one day we will not require electricity at all who knows.

Alternate energy are available in research labs and not coming out in public due to countries who want the economy of oil and energy to stay alive.
High efficient solar cells, high-efficient LED, batteries with slow self discharge are all rotting in labs.

In future - no travel
by dhananjay patil on May 08, 2014 06:01 PM  | Hide replies

May be there will be no need to travel in future, or travelling will be too expensive ! Information technology & communication improvement will substantially reduce the need for travel and lack of fuel will make it terribly expensive that only neo rich can afford!
