The point is simple, this is not the age of 19th century industrialization, but age of good and healthy industries, which can balance the needs of environment to that with capital gains or profits.
These in efficient industries tend not only to be corrupt, non innovative and shortsighted but also aids in criminal acts of land grabbing through bribery at political levels.
In long turn they create havoc to the families in and around them.
There are numerous such locked down industries in Bengal. Apathy or lack of guidance or research at the top or government levels is also a part of the picture.
So neglecting the environment is a strict no no.
Let Sterlite open itself up to more renovation and innovations!

WE the people of tuticorin are suffering of sterlite copper our air, water and soil is to the maximum is polluted, our people are suffering from Heart disease,Liver,Kidney,Nausea.WE NEED STERLITE TO SHUT DOWN OUR CHILDREN FUTURE.
There are always 2 sides of the same coin. A critic or journalist should try to be unbiased and present the facts. If Sterlite industries had increased the pollution level then it has also produced lot of employment. As a country, what are we doing to curb pollution? Gujarat is the leading manufacturer of chemicals in our country for more than 3 decades. Due to that there are lot of employment opportunities in Gujarat and there is also a lot more pollution. But Government has to do something in Gujarat as the level of pollution is very alarming, especially in places like Valsad, Vapi and Ankleshwar.
