This review seems to be decades old and no explanation about factors. Lots of small cities are much above most of these listed in here. Pune has no city-system at all and is second in this list.. wow.. unbelievable.
Surat is the right choice as it has uninterrupted power supplies, gas pipeline connection for the whole city, computerised sewage system, flyovers & bridges, lowest crime rate, superb eateries, a joyful crowd & celegrations on almost all festivals - navratri, uttarayan, ganpati, holi, janmastami, Eid, Tajya, chandi padvo, aluna......
will agree with me that above two cities should be in top 5 looking at education, health care, living standard, and other facilities incl polution and traffic.
It is ridiculous to hear our New Delhi, the capital of India at 10th place in the List. All the Top politicians that too ruling Congress party leaders are living. Also too many criminals are enjoying in that city. It is utter Shame! Puppy shame!
Kanpur is one of the worst cities I have ever seen. Huge population, no infrastructure, fully congested, no cleanliness and third grade transport system. Many many small cities are much better than Kanpur.
