I am an expatriate in DUBAI and used to travel on AI till they started their spate of cancellation. AI Exp[ress cares two hoots for the sentiments on tne normal expats who account for massive revnue. The last nail was when the management cancelled 100 plus flight . AI Exppress has no moral or ethical rights to cry that we will loose revnue... u treat ur client like tolient paper.. this is what you will get back.

I am not sure if the authors would come up with a similar story when GoAir, Indigo, SpiceJet, Jet or any other private airline start a new route?

AI sucks when it comes to maintaining a timely schedule. Every week atleast two services are cancelled without prior notification.

BTW, this is not a govt. only venture; private parties will hold 76% share and rest 24% will be by govt. They have a fine example of Cochin International Airport which was very much successful in this line. Good Luck

If AI gets about 60% revenue from Kerala, then atleast the minimum we expect AI to operate the flights on time at reasonable fares. What is the logic in charging 40000 whilst normal charges are about Rs.15000. And secondly, AI do not have any problem in private airlines operating from Kerala, so consider this new venture a new private airline. LAst, guys please dont under estimate the government's potential since the nodal agency will be CIAL , an agency like Delhi Metro, backed by some huge NRKs. Good Luck

AI pilots are always sick in peak season when demand is high or are desperate in making way for private airlines to loot the people. It is high time that we junk AI.
