I met with Varghese Kurian sir during my visit to Anand in Gujarat, His level of talking and thinking are way ahead of times. Because of him only India has become the largest producer of dairy products in the world (Operation Flood). His cooperative ideas made most of the milk producer in Gujarat a shareholder of Amul. You will find the latest technology and all modern equipment in his factory at Anand. Their programmes for educating the farmers and protecting their dairy products for longer period of time was really outstanding. But still he never behaves like a capitalist. Salute to this great visionary of India, A true Bharat Ratna (Although he was yet to be awarded by the GOI).
