These bengali babus are good at criticising but they have no concrete solution for reforms
Dr. Kaushik Basu is a well trained economist serving as a distinguished faculty member in Cornell University. Nevertheless, he is totally oblivious to the capitalism practiced in Indian and the United States, and always advocates double standards. According to his beliefs, an American or western top-level executive is worth his weight in gold and can be grossly over-paid, even if he is under-qualified; while an Indian official with a doctorate degree in a similar position is worth nothing, and is branded a duffer. This is his racial profiling because he was trained by a European in London and is heavily paid by an American in Ithaca (Cornell). After having a baccalaureate degree from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Madras) and obtaining several Masters degrees and a doctorate, I can easily see through the racial profiling that he does. However, Americans, British and Europeans never do this profiling, and treat people more or less equally and fairly, as far as my personal experience goes. The foreign born people in United States, especially some Asians (including Japanese, Chinese and Koreans), Africans, South Americans and Eastern Europeans usually do this profiling to over-sell themselves. Most often these people are less proficient than American-born people, and also possess poor speaking and writing skills.

I guess bending backwards for white skin has been programmed in our genes long back. That also explains why we were so easily ruled by British for more than two centuries!
But I hope he can divert money to backward economies and into India from world bank.Let it not be ulta.I hope the bengali babu will enjoy his promotion.

Infact I have recommended two people committee for each Indian state to look into their development projects or needs, appointed by centre in connivance with states , but it seems this nobel suggestion was totally ignored.
Are we not interested in fast and focused development?
State run schools, hospitals, agriculture, roads, drinking water facility every thing is in shambles. What quality of life we have?Human lives are getting wasted. So are the children too.
Noveltic idea for sending mms to world bank.since hanging on despite many corruption Issues are prevailing in this country.Instead of criticizing, well wishers of this country can donate 1 rupee each and bribe this 1.5 billion Inr to WB officials to appoint mms as financial advisor.
