I'm happy that someone actually took notice of this fact. I tried booking tickets on LTC but saw that the rates were exorbitant. Even if u are getting a refund, u would have to shell out the cash first. And I don't see why only Balmer and Laurie and Ashok Tours and travels. If someone is offering cheaper tickets, they should be accepted as they are saving money for the govt..
AI provides Hotel too to compete with others, as such all govt./PSU employees put heavy burden on their units and help AI to get out of red zone. Actually LTC facility must be banned totally to save thousands of crores of Govt. expenditure instead of putting more and more taxes on people. LTC should be given only for Home Town i.e. too if employees go one months leave. Over the years, LTC has become wasteful expenditure even on 3 to 5 days leave, and leaves are saved to encash them later on. Double expenditure on govt. deliberately and luxry at the cost of tax payers plus crowd in Rail/Air.
