Lack of commitment to work, avarice to higher wages, and gradual improvement in lethargy to work as a result of easy money availability may be considered as some of the significant factors that contribute to the labor problems. In addition grabbing wealth and grafting to achieve big money pushes the real estate businessman go hay-wire in maintaining and restricting to the strict rules and regulations laid in this behalf and the regulatory authorities paying a mute attention and deaf ear to largesses committed by the businessmen in the construction activity.
What shortage of labor? Just a load of nonsense...making excuses for gross incompetence and ineptitude. The real reasons are shortage of funds, criminal mismanagement, bad politics and even more bad politics..at all levels.
Progress and prosperity come only when the people of any nation work hard and not made dependent on easy money, which makes them sluggish. What is required is crerating a lot of job opportunities by all-round developmental work so that people are made to work hard and prosper that way along with the nation. But lop-sided polcies are taking a heavy toll of both the people and the nation.
Let the govt lure people for freebies to get elected. true to keep their promises they provide free rice and labour free employment for 120 days. not only that, why to bother about our national father MAHATMA GANDHI expect on 2nd OCTOBER. why should bother about his preaching about labour and prohibition. now our country is run by selfish power mongering politicians. where are those freedom seekers? were they gone to BRITISH LAND?
coz we never think/provide education to labour's child and never think of their sanitary facility at work while they migrate. i think food & service industry will be the next. so get ready to pay for big hotel bills & daily ration.
Although this schemes are good on paper, on reality either the money is eaten by system or people has become lazy not to work. 120 day of assured income without moving single showel has made the life of many small business difficult.
Labor even though at high price is not aviabale resulting overall cost increase & putting pressure on real estate market. If Govt wants to donate they have to make sure only needy gets, although not sure how could they do it.

It is not good even on paper. Any money spent should add lasting value to the economy. Spending money for digging a pit and then spending further on filling it up is as bad as giving dole. It demoralises the work force apart from wasting precious resource. Some such things were done by the Marxists in West Bengal to remain clinging to power. The outcome of this on the health of Bengal's economy is therefor all to see.

Very correct Ashish. Our cunning politicians plan very cunningly to spread the name of thier leaders by naming such useless schemes eating our tax paid money. They spoil the rural manpower to remain lazy, not to do any work and finish off the agriculture. In TN 100 days scheme no one will work and we can see old people, school children etc sitting by the side of roads. They dont go for agricultural work and on getting the pay go to the liquor shop and drink all the earning!Poor people are not given any chance to think and made to remain always ignorant and not understand anything/whom to vote and muffs. All these welfare schemes are official taxpayers money thrown to gather votes and illegal business like liquor etc.FATE FATE FATE OF OUR COUNTRY.And no light in the near future and by then enough would have lost.
Indians should demand UN Observers "present" in all teams formed or to be formed in future to look into all scams etc.
ABP News --- FIR lodged on Cong. Honorable (MP for Porbandar)...... All, Aam Admi of India watching this on TV News Channels and feeling ashamed of our Honorables... What is so grave matter of an INDIAN HONORABLE behaving like this??????? Is it necessary to call these sorts of people Honorables?

true. this media is more responsible for current state of India. one can do crime as long as he is protected an media is acting as their protector.
Check on the owners of super-cars in India - almost certainly majority of them will be realtors. This is just one indicator of the state of poor builders. Shortage of skilled worker? The Govt. should set up training centres for them, with public money of course - ask the chambers of commerce who convene innumerable conferences, workshops etc. where industry leaders deliver highly thought evoking speeches.
