E-payment to track black money
by dineshhassija on Oct 09, 2012 08:53 AM

Not necessary. Though sufficient evidences can be collected to trap the offenders and would require lot of manpower and other spade work.

How can e-payments reduce black money?

E-refunds can reduce to some extent, yes. But e-payments are being done more to facilitate the government and less for the tax payer.

What we need are e-services and not just e-payments. Things like filing police complaints on the net, filing RTI applications on the net and even e-courts which can settle civil disputes on the net.

Where do politicians get the money from? - "from Business houses"

Unless we curb the flow of balck money, businessmen will have have balck money to pay to the politicans.

Judt imagine DLF. What if he wants to pay 1000 crores to Vadra? He cant pay it from his accounted money. He uses balck money to pay them. This black money is accumulated through the cash purchases he is making to his suppliers and cash paid to them by the purchasers.

If any transaction above 10k is accounted thru epayment and debit card usage, balck money in the system come down.

BLACK MONEY
by dipak anand on Oct 08, 2012 11:04 AM

First make some recommendations for Leaders who has eaten several lacs and crores of rupees & implement it. Are the rules are for a common man ?
The end result of all recommendations of all committees is to end subsidies, increase the prices of all the items to such a level where a common man is not able to live.If Kelkar's recommendations have to be accepted, better make him F.M.and let Chidu go as he is unable to take decision. It is a common man who has to die ultimately because of this Government policies.Because of, electricity bills, a poor man lost his life. How can a labourer pay more than Rs.15000.00 for two months consumption. But Govt is not prepared to listen. Is this the way of running a government ? You have crossed all limits If this is the attitude of Congress-run-Government ( I think days are numbered, time has come when reverse counting should be started). On behalf of leaders, either Montek Singh or Kelkar is there. What for these leaders are, to save their skin ?. Are these Policy makers making any rules regulations for corrupt Ministers, MPs, MLAs,Government officials who have pocketed Tax Payers money or as usual they will all go scot-free.

by reetam on Oct 08, 2012 10:59 AM

There are so may ways to curb the Black Money & get back the Money from Swiss Bank. There are hue & cry over the raise of diesel price. But very few are raising voices to get the Swiss Bank money & to curb the Black Money. Why Ms Mamata Banerjee also keep herself quiet over this issue? Instead of rasing her vioces against hike of Diesel Price , she must start campaign to get back the Black Money from Swiss Bank-I belive millions of Indian will join her.

Do away with Cheques !!
by living dead on Oct 08, 2012 10:57 AM

Cheques nowadays are used only as safeguard against.

Otherwise, most of the corporate transactions are thru RTGS/ NEFT. Only in case of credit availed by coporates, PDCs are given. Governement should come up with another method to make non payment as per purchase terms a criminal offence, just as cheque bounce.

Apart from the corporate transactions, individual transactions at shops, other outlets should be made only through debit cards !!

Not enough
by guptaapsn on Oct 08, 2012 10:47 AM

Its is time to avoid corruption by introducing E Services in all Govt. bodies. Ppl. should avail the govt. services through internet. Once it is introduced, no ppl. will go to govt. offices and it will avoid 100% corruption.

e payment
by jkj on Oct 08, 2012 10:45 AM  | Hide replies

there is reluctance in accepting cheques even in genuine cases for fear of bouncing. For smaller amounts 5k to 50k, the banks could issue certified cheque books with payment guarantee. Limit could be on basis of customer average balamnce.
