The French Dump Morals On Others
by Girish K on Nov 29, 2012 08:15 PM

Attacks on Jews happened in France through out history. They don't want Israel to survive. Except for their fatal attraction to Arabs, the French are a very racist and xenophobic nation -- but then, Leftists everywhere have an inexplicable soft-corner for Muslims.

Marwaris are unethical businessmen - Ambanis , Mittal, Birla etc. Now compare them with Tatas, Godrej etc. See the picture?

WHY ARE INDIANS DISCUSSING IT AT ALL?
by Kabeer on Nov 29, 2012 05:35 PM

Indians take objection for the French elected representative's claim that Arecelor-Mittal is an Indian Group and Indians cite that Mittals businesses are registered in Luxembourg and an overwhelming majority of the employees are European and Mittal himself may not hold an Indian passport.

Fine, if one were to accept that argument why Indians should discuss this matter with this kind of seriousness as if one of its citizens wrongfully treated?

France may not be a communist state but by and large it is an extremely socialist state all these years except during Sarkozy's brief term. French people disliked his capitalist and rich prone ideas and threw him out and elected another socialist leader.

For all those who think socialism is dead in the past should actively consider French politics and its people.

As General DeGaulle said proudly, France is Europe and it embodies European spirit; not Britain nor Germany.

Indian intelligensia must learn a thing or two from the French socialist idea instead of meekly licking the boots the Americans and nearly treating the likes of Tatas as living Gawds in India

..but ...
by Dev on Nov 29, 2012 03:42 PM

..but when all foreign companies go abroad they employ many of their citizens.
so this is just the shoe being on other foot.

I do admire Lakshmi mittal, who is of Indian origin doing well in competitive business all over the world.
These europeans have scant regard for indians. they respect business and money most of all.( nothing wrong with that but they shouldnt cry foul when they get it back)
Mr Mittal is showing how Indians can take on the world. in a nation of 1 billion there arent many Mittals at present. He is a rare commodity , am sure he has faults, but we need to learn from him. ( as we are a mediocre nation with low status in global fraternity..Mittal shows way to improve the Indian image )
