unfortunately crony capitalism most probably did not work in this case as it does in india, where tatas/birlas/ambanis/ruias/jindals/dlf get whatever they want, & in the way they want.
They will come begging for this offer, when Europe goes into a debt crisis, and whatever overvalued properties in Europe that they are flaunting will be depressed even further

Don't flatter yourself.
OE has nothing to do with the Euro debt crisis!
Just because Indian Railways is public sector undertaking does not mean that every public transportation organization in the world has a similar ownership structure!
Thank you OE for rejecting this Indian offer even if it was from the quality conscious Tata Group.
Some OE executive must have seen what we have done with our railways (which are open air toilets inside and outside the trains) and made this very, very wise decision!

satya raj has applied for sweeper's job with TATA's and rejected ,hence can't see them flourishing.
