It is not understood as to why JLR has entered into a JV with a Chinese car co called Chery, & setting up a $3 billion factory to manufacture JLR cars in China, instead of India. Is it because China has become JLR's largest market presently, over 80,000 cars sold in the first 9 months of 2012, compared to less than 2000 cars in India in the same period? One expected Tata to be loyal to India, and not go to earn money from a country with which our relations are not good.

JLR has continued to support Tata Motors books without which the shares of tata motors would be worth wet tissues, if not toilet paper.
