All the Americans in the list are business people and enterpreneurs, unlike in the rest of the world, where they are all kings. That says something about America.
How come the rulers of England and France (countries with modest natural resources) are ranked ahead of Indian rulers like Ajatashatru, Asoka, Harshavardhana, Jehangir and the Persian Emperors like Cyrus, Darius and Xerxes?
A small pouch of diamonds possessed by any of these would equal the total worth of people like John of Gaunt!

Someone has taken this for consumption by the European media and put it on without checking the facts on rediff.
Regretablly, nowadays most Indians do not know about the true india's history and have embraced going after things of transitory nature.
