by abhinay agarwal on May 12, 2012 11:26 AM

aamir khan is a hippocrate himself. he divorced his wife for marrying another girl. was his wife not a girl. why people do these killings because people rate girls as second grade citizens. now as charity should start at home, least aamir can do is publically apologize to his ex at his show. and show some respect to girls.

India can not be developed in next 100 years
by Abhijit on May 08, 2012 08:49 AM

Considering the mentality of Indian Leadership and Society it can not develop in next 100 years.

1. Decentralization is the key of development. For India, 6 metro cities is the key of development. Leaders, economists, educationalists believe that 6 metros represent whole India.

2. Uniformity - Medium of Education should be English throuout the country. Not only Education, but all competitive examinations should be conducted only in English. Right now they will be conducted in English and Hindi. The people without Hindi as their mother tounge, are getting sidelined.

3. Laws should be re-written completely - Indian Penal Code, Land Ceiling Act, etc are more than 100 years old, chalked by britishers. They should be made relevant.

For an example - We can not use the vehicle in other state where it is not registerd, unless lifetime road tax is paid.

4. Bureaucracy should be kicked - Govt babus are stronger than politicans. Police even beat MPs and MLAs. Govt employees can be only suspended, not dismissed or fired from job. IPS officers can not be suspended also, state govt can only make recommendations.

Fake Progress!!!
by J D on May 08, 2012 08:46 AM

Too much black money floating around. The sudden increase in wages for IT industry and not enough wage increase for general masses. So much disparity is one big cause on top of that the quality of Indian goods is poor and quality of workmanship is way below international standard. Progress need to show in all fields uniformly. The elite should plan the progress carefully.

Democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes itself, exhausts and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide..

Weak UPA
by Harish Wadhwani on May 08, 2012 07:34 AM  | Hide replies

The irony of UPA govt is this that for FDI investment Ms Clinton has to talk to Mamta. She believes( and so we) that central govt is so week that nothing can be moved, so why not go direclty to bottleneck. Investment has dried up and so as rupee. The cost is India is exorbitant as inflation is high.

Congress is bent to repeat the formula that brought them power, which is distribute the hard earned money. Rural schemes are flop and meaningless making people not to work for some signature. Hence the fiscal balance is gone. Increase in oil prices has added the pressure.

We should learn from many countries that poorer can not be uplifted by guaranteeing 120 days job or ration etc.. It can only be done by capitalism which allows investment & create opportunities. MMS understand it but can't implement hence we need a politician who can cut the ice & implement it and let MMS become FM.

UPA 1 could survive due to ..
by sanjay acharya on May 08, 2012 01:51 AM

-The UPA1 survived because of the NDA regime just before that which amassed huge FDIs and wealth inflow to India.
-After the honeymoon period or hangover period gone, the real ugly face of UPA2 is out in the open with dracula like blood suckers and looters, rapists (AMS) of congis out in the open.
-These congis donot have any foresight or knowledge of economics, but only thrive on the negativities of opposition parties.
