Rediff, you deleted my comment because I criticised you, even though I did not break any of the house rules. Shame on you. Shame. on. you.

Right. We also have trains crashing into each other every other month. Check the news, we have one right now in AP.

Dear rediff

I want to make some clarifications regarding this report.
1. Narita Express is not considered as a High speed train according to Japanese standard. It is just an Express train. (High speed trains are called Shinkansen ) NEX runs near 150KMph where as the high speed shinkansen runs nearly 300kmph...

2. It runs on regular rail line and not on High Speed rails as mentioned in the article.

3. The Information Display showed in the picture shows only the station name. The main highlight of the information display is that it will show all the information like departure and arrival times of flights, boarding gates, delay (if any) etc.

Question: Exactly which part of this train is luxurious?
by Argumentative Indian on Mar 28, 2012 10:15 AM  | Hide replies

Looks like a 2 X 2 Bus from inside, with marginally more aisle space.

The seats also appear to be narrow, like the seats on some of India's more exasperating cheap type airlines' economy class.

Ha Ha Ha, well said, that's hilarious, the side berth.

Forget that one, with my petite frame (I weigh a sprightly 90 Odd Kilos), I find even the regular berths on the 3 Tier compartments horrible. Only the 2 Tiers have at least some semblance of sleeping space, atrociously uncomfortable, but still better than the cheaper options.

That, however, does not make this Narita express luxurious, its just another low cost chair car type.
