Recently I travelled by train ( Kasi Vishvanath and Shiv Ganga Exp. ) in 2 tier AC. The sockets to charge cellphones and laptops were marked ' 110 V ' . How Americanised ? 'Live in India feel America' - is the new slogan of Indian Railways.

I believe they are actually 110V supplies and hence marked 110V. Laptops/cellphone chargers usually work for 110-240V range. Those power sockets won't work for any other device that requires 220v

Indian Hotels need to learn from this and improve their service and quality...If you checked in to any indian hotel, I am surprised almost anything under 4 star is smelly and dirty...There is no sense of cleanliness..Even in New Delhi..this is the case...
