on the stoke of 12 last night, this govt has cut the EPF interest rate from 9.50% to 8.25% for this financial year forcing the little ones to live under the penalty of further retrenchment.

This is the real face of this AAM ADMIs govt

Last year exception was made. It was 8.5% with 1% as bonus. This year it is reduced by 0.25% only. I am not advocating govt decision, but get your facts correct.

Since u subtly essayed to play both ends against the middle I won't come down strong on u. But, it seems u are among those who think that we should always be at the receiving end being at the mercy of the govt. This is apathetic

As per TOI, only 15% in India is salaried(regular salary every month). Most of indians are farmers or labour work, no PF etc. Be happy that you have PF.

They say little knowledge is always dangerous. Speak for yourself rather than being a mere number cruncher. The money received by the govt via EPF is channelized into other social sectors. It's always easy to squeeze the salaried class rather than ruminating on cutting down govt's own frivolous expenditure.

In any case, the days of this govt are numbered as the mass will sorely jettison UPA whenever it decides to go to the country. U take my word.

The Government employees get huge amount of pension without any monetary contribution from their side whereas under Employees' Pension Scheme 1995, retired employes, most of whom are from Private Sector, get very nominal amount in the form of monthly Pension out of their own contribution, which is not even sufficient to meet the cost of medicine. It is a known fact that monthly pension under EPF Scheme 1995 is paid not from the Government exchequer but out of the amount accumulation from deduction under EPF Scheme 1995 from the Employer's contribution to Provident Fund. The Government is doing total injustice to a section of people. The Pension Scheme requires immediate modification and the minimum pension should be at least Rs.5,000/- per month.

wake up. Even beggars make more than Rs.20 a day. Anybody who says half of India earns 20/day is not aware of ground realities, or is an armchair statistician.
