Not sufficient trains introduced
by kumar on Mar 14, 2012 06:13 PM

Trains are not sufficient enough to meet the requirements of the people. I am from Karaikkal district of Pondicherry U.T. Here railways were commenced after 28years. No new trains were introduced from this place as it is the tourist resort and a temple town mainly Lord Saneeshwara. Daily thousands of people are visiting this temple as well Karaikkal but there is no enough rail facility from here. Is it fair. There appeals from Karaikkal pupil for operating trains to Madurai, Coimbatore, Kanayakumarai, Tirunelveli, Rameshwaram, Trinvandrum etc. In Trichy all this trains are available which is the nearest place but due to increase in passenger traffic, the crowd cannot be controlled. So partially trains should be operated from Karikkal. I am not only asking for my place but for the other places around us like Saint Basilica Church in Velankanni, The famous Nagore Andavar Darga over here. I hope you consider our sincere appeal.. Thank you..

Railway Minister - Are you listening
by abc_xyz abc_xyz on Mar 14, 2012 06:07 PM  | Hide replies

There should be more trains between Bangalore and Southern Tamil Nadu cities like Madurai, Tirunelveli, Tutocorin etc, given the fact that a huge chunk of the Bangalore Working crowd are Tamils. There is just 1 daily train connecting these places and getting a reservation during in this train during weekend is akin to getting into IIT.

Taking advantage of this situation, various airbuses (mostly run by goons, rowdies etc) charge exorbidant rates (even to the tune of 1500 bucks for a 400 km ride) and exploit the situation. This has to be stopped or at least minimized.

Do you think, you will get tickets if more trains are introduced. there will be touts and tatkal (the most stupidest ticketing system in the world).Instead ask for employment creation in the southern cities. Why should everyone migrate to bigger cities. This railway budget is a sham full of regional chauvinists and garib raths (yuck, what a name)

Andhra situtaion even worse than Tamilnadu though telugus are more in number than tamils in IT and also in other business establishments in bangalore. Muniappa/Dwivedi have done unjustice to telugus

If you are not a blind, or can read, see there are a lot of trains passing thru Bihar & Jaharkhand - Kamakya - Lokmanya Tilak Ex, chapra - Manduadih, Ranchi - Dumka, Secundrabad - Darbhanga, Bilashpur - Patan, Howrah - Raxul, Howarah - lalkuan, Kolkata- Jaynagar, Chapra - Lucknow, Anandvihar - Haldia, Maldah Town - Surat, all 11 trains will move thru Bihar & Jharkhand. This 15 % approx. Do you have any idea about Geography of India? I do not know any flyover exist over bihar to avoid these trains. If you want a train from your home to your inlaw's home that is rarely possible ( Only Lalu could do this).

Nothing to Mumbai and Konkan

Nothing to Mumbai and Konkan. Mumbai gives 60% of total revenue to railways but nobody cares to improve the situation of travellers.

But Mumbai never gave opportunities to black skinned/ brown skinned Indians. While Europeans, Iranians make millions of money in Mumbai, Indians are forced to work like slaves in their own motherland. See what is the present situation of Kohlis(Original Mumbai residents/Fisher community). If Mumbai gets more funds, then all private villains will take over funds and become rich.

Rubbish, there is no new trains or raly lines for Bengal. What Trivedi declared New for Bengal, were already proposed at least 30 years ago by Gani Khan Choudhury but later abolished by Bihari Rly ministers. Now Trivedi has started again. This is a game. Every time a new Rly minister started somehing, the next Rly minister will abolish, then another new Rly minister will start again saying I am doing someting new.

High speed trains will not go to up to Calcutta; it will stop at Patna.

Even the Minister of State got a new Coach factory for Karnataka.

What have we got? Nothing really.
