Good riddance. Hopefully he does not spend taxpayers money on needless foreign trips to other countries.

He failed the nation
by pradeep agarwal on Jun 26, 2012 01:03 PM

He is an old archaic philosophy gentleman who manipulated his contacts in industry to get nominated for years through RS.The economy failed under his leadership & growth declined to below 0 level in manufacturing sector afte a decade. This along with so many scams which happened with able assistance from another archaic bureaucrat who simply warm the seat of PM for a rooky who stays more in Mexico than India. The blessing received from Madam for converting capital in Zurich at 30% more due to unheard of devaluation of rupee see him now as our new first citizen.

It does not need a great economist to understand that growth by internal consumption and financed by external borrowings (or investments) will never help. May be in the short term this was a good policy. But, in the long term, only exports would matter. All the policies announced so far are only hogwash and would only push the problem for just a short period of time. The noted economist that he is, MMS never gave a push to exports and the result is there for all to see with the Trade Deficit being the highest ever. Pity is that even now this anomaly is not being faced and the Govt feels that FDI in Retail is the panacea for all ills.

This is a gift given by corrupt Congress and all the corrupt Corporates who benefited because of Pranab all these years.
