Surface Drainage solutions.
Otherwise, Environment is always a great issue.
Your laminar flow solutions never worked before, will never work in future.
Resurfacing is a major benefit cost ratio issue.
So is piping for drainage. Trade offs.
Obviously, lets just say so. According to recent survey there are 173,000 occupations to survive and we are never alone on the planet.

stop corruption or remove the corrupt from the top
by aman on Jul 24, 2012 09:43 AM

then all infrastructure projects will benefit the people or else 75% of the money spent will go to swiss banks and as black money.

I think removing corruption from india is not possible as we dont have good selfless leaders.

Investment in infrastructure is a waste of money.Gandhi, nehuru,Indira,Rajiv did not talk about infra. They thought it was elitist and used by the rich.

1.The World is in recession.THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO SPEND ON INFRASTRUCTURE OR ANY THING EXCEPT PSUS BY THE GOVT.But then M m Singh puppet of the Western Capitalists wants PSUs to be destroyed and everything privatized,by stealing the National Wealth.
2.10 most indebted nations' $ 13 TRILLION worth Bonds are maturing in 2015.Expect huge QEs.The devaluation Yen is predicted as Japan has the maximum Debt.
3.India will also reorting to MISUSE of ZPRINTING PRESS.
Thins are not rosy.foolish spending will result in bankruptcy,if it is based on Massive Debt as is being proposed.
4.PPP will encourage Corruption as it does not come under the purview pf CAG or CVC.

The infra panic buttons should have been pressed 30 yrs ago..
by Aditya Venkat on Jul 23, 2012 12:33 PM

WE are more than 30 yrs too late .. its not going to be possible to rectify this mistake anymore .. thankfully this and the next gen will be witness to the rapid deterioriation of our institutions, and the total break down of morals and values thanks to our outdated inward looking culture and thoughts .. long live corruption and poverty .. India is today totally defined by these two factors..

i think ur grossly mistaken. pakistan has far better motorways and telecom systems in place. We are quite a few years behind them. Just because they are a failed state, it doesnt make india a less failed one.. lets wake up and not keep blowing our trumpets for non achievements.

Infrastructure
by arungopal agarwal on Jul 23, 2012 10:25 AM

If this is not done on war footing, our population and call of the hour will collapse everything. Danger to remain integrated. Our politicians are neither interested to curb unwanted population nor bringing any administrative or political reforms.

Infra needs fast-track board
by kdesarker on Jul 23, 2012 09:37 AM  | Hide replies

Its nice to write and say all the stuff about Indian Infra and the need for the Govt to get moving but everybody is missing the basic point - where will you get land and money from ? Money - the govt is in dire straits and the states are in a bigger mess. Land - no one wants to surrender a single part for the betterment of the country. So stop this rubbish discussion and focus on the basic issues.
