In a country where there is a large population which doesnot have a dwelling unit / house of their own, where there used to be land ceiling act which was to prevent the disproportionate distribution / holding of land, the nexus between the realtors and the politicians in past 8-9 yrs have created a situation where one can freely treat the possession of land as land bank, freely increase the prices of land or houses or flats in multiples every 4/6/9/12 months make it 10-20 times of the original prices in blink of eyes, the government a passive supporter doesnot interfere rather encourage the banks to give housing loans even though non- performing assets are piling up alarmingly by leaps and bounds and take away a major chunk of one's salary in the form of EMIs. Now this is a high time that people do not get allured away and decide to abstain from buying any house for another 2 years to bring about a long awaited correction and teach a lesson to the nexus of builder lobby and the politicians
