The figures given in the above article "Rates of Growth of gross GDP:" are totally wrong and misguiding from originality. If you check GDP list of states in India on Wikipedia it shows in 2004 (when Modi almost started) GDP of Gujrat is lesser than Maharashtra whereas in 2012 it reversed.

In the name of Modi
by Hirendra Chatterjee on Dec 11, 2012 03:31 PM

With elections to the Gujarat state assembly round the corner, this is a very good time to earn some money on the side by attacking Modi with bogus facts and figures. We are being told that Modi is not responsible for development in Gujarat and that there has hardly been any development in Gujarat or the poorest of Indian states have done better than Gujarat in the last decade. I hope the money is worth the lies and slander.

by Niraj Rana on Oct 07, 2012 10:02 AM

If we earn 32Rupees/Day we are not poor is it measure of not being poor. Madam's You cannot fool us with govt sorry (MadamG's) figure. Bring in some concrete evidence. Progress in Gujrat in not only on paper but implemented one where as the progress in somt of the progressive states is just KAGZI one that is on Paper.

that Modi is a clever guy who uses his PR machinery very well to exploit the sentiments of people...while there are a lot of improvements in many parts of the country, the leaders there do not have the talent to substantiate their achievements or have an efficient PR to broadcast their activities..

I agree, he should not do PR based on development, if he can do it based on some famour surname, caste, religion etc than it will be ok for this hopelessly wretched country

1.2 crore Gujaratis defecate in the open !
by piri on Jul 14, 2012 08:39 AM  | Hide replies

2009 report by the World Sanitation Congress!

That is, those not having access to the most basic sanitation facilities or adequate water supply constitute more than 30 % of the Gujarati population!

And Gujarat, in Modi's own words, has 'developed' so much and so fast that he would like it to now 'compete with Japan and China' !!

And middle class pea-brains are taken so completly in by what Modi farts from his mouth!

Piri,

Please visit rural China then visit Gujarat & then compare. What all of us about China is just Shanghai or Beiging.

Seems you are owning major responsiblity for air pollution & which by your comments is geting proved. Please shut your mouth as your view are not at all based on ground realities.

Narendra Modi's performance.
by rustam shaikh on Jul 13, 2012 11:46 AM  | Hide replies

Modi has done a lot for Gujarat,& humbly he doesn't think much about it, for example a state that was earlier known as Gandhiji's home state, is being known as the most intolerant state in India, where men & women were burnt alive, gang rapes conducted on young gilrs and many more unprintable thing. Hail Gujarat, Hail Narendra Modi.

Rustam Shaikh, your comments shows that either your are not from Gujarat or have not visited Gujarat since many many years. You are more driven by media reports that too of 2002 era.

Baroda in second next to Chandigadh one of the best city to stay & this survey was conducted by NGO & central Govt. & not by state of Gujarat.
