CEO of today
by Shyam Galgali on Jan 30, 2012 11:50 AM  | Hide replies

With liberalization of labour law to maximum extent today's CEOs are able to function with very less headache and more freely in utter breach of labour laws. Under the guise of 'globalisation' everything has been diluted and employees are forced to 'put in' papers at the whims and fanciful desire of present day managerial personnel without considering merits and demerits of the case in question. There were CEOs in old time who had to deal with difficult situation now everything is 'free for all'.

Very well said Shayam. The modern day CEOs in collusion with his side-kicks 'loots' the company and the owners, of even very large groups do not get a inkling of what exactly is happening in their companies and as you said employees are not heard their side of the story( of course the employee can not bring enough proof except circustantial against this 'loot' by the CEO and his left/right men ) and are 'forced' to 'put in' their papers for no fault of theirs. Are there any labour laws for protection of managerial personnel ? If so where one could go and within how many years to save his job ,retirement and other benefits etc?

The Europeans became rich
by piri on Jan 29, 2012 04:55 PM  | Hide replies

by stealing from their erstwhile colonies such as India and also because of their industrial revolution.

The Americans became rich because of their immense natural resources, wise immigration policies and above all because of stealing from most other nations through their MNCs.

The Indians too want to become rich. But they neither have the industrial might nor the capacity to drive investments in a transparent enough way to develop in a balanced manner. Nor can they ever dream of stealing from other nations like the Europeans or Americans have done. But 'smart' Indians have long understood that they have one advantage that no European or American ever did have in any significant way. And this advantage is that the overwhelming majority of common Indians are so stupid as to think that corruption and theft are 'inevitable' in any society and must be lived with !

So this small section of 'smart' Indians resorted to stealing big time from the majority stupid Indians and now keeps saying that India also is 'rich' and 'becoming developed fast' !!

And, as if to prove these 'smart' Indians right, the majority of the poor stupid Indian commoners started parroting out that India is 'fast becoming developed' and will soon become a 'superpower' !!

So, why should common Indians worry anyway ? Their countrymen may not be able to steal from other countries. But they can more than compensate for that by stealing big time from foolish natives, cant they ??

Top Performing CEO's should not be judged only on REVENUE
by Krishnan Rama on Jan 28, 2012 01:23 PM

Top Performing CEO's should not be Judged only on REVENUE, it has to be how they have guided the organisation to new heights. For Exampls Mr. R. Chellappan of Numeric Power Sysems Ltd., In the Power Solution Industry started in 1980's and have been withstanding the No.1 Position for more than a Decade. The company is now INR 50 Million.... Yahoo should find such CEO's and honour them

Family Business CEOs should be excluded from the list. Or separate list should be there.

You are right. Include those CEOs only who are outsiders and are performing independently - not practicing slavism.
