Guys, do you remember Ajay Devgan movie called Tarzan. The purple colored car featured in that movie apparently called "Tarzan" is a DC creation. Several of the scenes were shot in Goa (where I belong). The car had bits and pieces of different cars. IMO the design and quality of such cars is very very poor.
Avanti for 30 lakhs is a very expensive proposition. I would not even pay 5 lakhs for this tin can. This car just looks like a redesigned "TARZAN".
This news is deceptive. It makes it look like India has invented something new. All the guts that really matter are foreign made and primitive western technology like in Nano and Ambassador. Big margins will make Chabbaria richer, much richer. Amitabh probably got millions just to be there and a few of the Avantis, if not a big chunk of share in the company. What a joke.

but please dont call it a super car. It barely makes it to sports car category.
This is a good stepping store for manufacturing performance cars in India. However, more parts have to be sourced internally instead of trying to assemble the car from parts provided by multiple vendors. Maintenance will be a nightmare when there is trouble because every bolt and nut came from different locations!
19" rims on 235/R35, i am not sure hw u can drive them in India. I had same rims here in USA on NY roads with low profile tires and i kept blowing them as rubber is so less that one tiny pot hole and tire blows. I cant imagine driving these tires in Pune or Mumbai
XUV it looks like a cross between swift and other SUV. All hype no substance. We have long way to go. Let us accept we lack creativity. During 50's we were at same level with Korea. See where Korea is now.

and the rack and pinnion streering just makes it even worse.. it has M800 for company there!
