The Tragic Truth
by Balan Iyer on Feb 12, 2012 04:13 PM

It is the tragic truth that this Biz Community never started any industry in Kolkotta;on the contrary they took over all the British run industries by devious and manipulative means like creating frustration among Brits by inst igating labour strikes and equally instigating the Govt to raise road blocks and obstacles in their way.In short they destroyed Kolkotta, wh ich was very ably created and developed by the Brits.

Foolish Report
by Sudip Bhattacharya on Feb 12, 2012 08:37 AM  | Hide replies

AMRI directors deserve punishment for callous management - they be Marwaris or not. That this website is posting such reports and inciting communal feelings is a matter of shame.
Rediff should be brought to books just like Google, Facebook and Yahoos.

Rediff has long allowed antimuslim opinions in wosest slangs to be posted, they have promted parochialism and regionalism in big way.

Time to think for rediff editing stuff.

Rediff was my homepage for a very long time. But since so many months I stopped visting. I am visiting today and again will stop visiting.

Criminally irresponsible editing

caste bias problem
by SUNIL SHETH on Feb 11, 2012 10:55 AM  | Hide replies

Honestly speaking, AMRI related issue has been created by CPM who whole heartedly allowed Marwaris to run their businesses in the manner they like. Otherwise it was during Communist rule that most industries left Bengal. Why sudden foul cry by Marwaris?? Frankly if this caste feels that they arre targetted, they can leave Bengal and settle elsewhere.

They cannot settle else where, because they feel the state and the country belongs to them. Few politicians for there political career and power cannot ruin them.
Secondly, please go through various articles related to AMRI and they you will feel how the case has been handled. What is cheif minister of the state has to do with the court verdict. The police and the other investigating agencies are doing their work, and the law will takes its own course. Mamta banerjee should stop street fighting and should concentrate in the development of the state which shes been promising during her election campaign.

how all marwaris became billionaire within a very short time
by sudhir maithili on Feb 11, 2012 10:53 AM  | Hide replies

Very surprising, how all marwaris became billionaire within a very short span of time, without any labour. They are not paying tax, looting innocent customers, bribing govt officials and ministers.

Wrong inference.
Bengalis like every other community more their own. They are not made for money spinning business. But shameless marwaris take advantage of skillful poor bombs to spin huge profit while spoiling Ecology and economy of the same state that hosted them.

If they are staying in Kolkatta for such a long time, identify themselves as Bengalis, or else go packing to Rajasthan.

Being an Indian citizen what do you do for the health and safety of the poor people.
Its not the businessmen its the government official of west bengal whose majority is bengalis should perform their duty of clearing lincences only after investigating.
Loopholes in the government in the govt offices everywhr.
