Motivate other communities.
by Amit Ashtekar on Feb 08, 2012 10:12 PM

There are other intelligent communities also apart from Marwaris. Maharashtrians, South Indian Chettiars, MNC companies should take this golden opportunity.

no one pointed marwadis after AMRI accident, it was overall administrative failure. but rediff, sify & some online media, painting it with wrong color!!!... this ill effort is not actually saving the marwadi community, its an conscious effort to victimize Bengali community across india.. already there are news coming for last few yrs, bengalis are victimized as a local resident, as tourist or as worker. Some Bengali tourists were beaten in MP, locals accused them, as bengalis are foreigners & they came inside India illegally... In Guwahati Digvijay Singh said, bengalis are not Indians, they are foreigners settled in India... So, entire state machinery / media not saving marwadis or any other community, they are actually making bengali community vulnerable for attacks... If this propaganda continues, Bengal will soon become another Kashmir for India... & Bengals geographical location will soon question entire North East india's existence with India.

Thank you for pointing out the geo - strategic importance of Bengal, especially N. Bengal. This is why non-Bengalis have been trying to wrest this land away from Bengal. Now the Idiot Mamata Banerjee is about to commit a self - goal against Bengalis by giving Darjeeling away to the illegal Gurkha immigrants from Nepal !

Bengalis in Calcutta should march against the idiot Mamata and stop her b4 its 2 l8 !

This is maybe the fourth or fifth time that Rediff has printed this story, the first coming around the mid of January. And still they haven't been able to come up with any other incident of discrimination (the only one being AMRI; where everyone knows that the Bengali managing director had just a honorific/namesake position). This proves that the idea of the article is to provoke hatred where there is none.

Please stop this Rediff. Its our country don't divide it.

This is 3rd article on rediff
by Deep on Feb 08, 2012 12:57 PM  | Hide replies

This is the 3rd article in rediff and similar 2 articles came up in Times Of India about a false propaganda on Marwari victimization in Kolkata. Truth is apart from the AMRI owners none is affected and none from the Marwari community except the relatives of the arrested Marwaris are bothered.

This is paid article on behalf of those responsible for killing 92 people and their stooges the CPM.

Marwaris and Baniyas
by prem k on Feb 08, 2012 12:52 PM  | Hide replies

Marwaris and Baniyas need to learn from Parsis, who are very smart at image building exercises. Building temples, schools and hospitals to the society alone cannot win public hearts. In general, Indian people are quite jealous and the more you do charity, the more they would think that you have earned your money through unfair means.

Parsis are so shrewd that they themselves dont participate in politics, but ensure that their candidates will win. Even if their adversaries win, they will do whatever it takes to get their own mole among the adversary to get support for their business.

Look, how they took care of Rusi Mody's political ambitions in Jamshedpur. When UPA-2 came to power, Ratan Tata ensured that the person favorable to his business (or bribes) gets the post of telecom minister. Marwaris and Baniyas should learn something here. They should have anticipated this even while Mamata was in opposition and was winning the LS elections. They had two years to set things right, but they were just sleeping.

They are not in power in any State, nor they use knife or pistol or gun, they are serving humanity. They are intelligent, hard working, still people feel anti to them. At least, I have pity for such people.
